In this article, we will answer the question: “How to stop Astral Projection?”.
There’s a persistent rumor among planar travel circles that you can somehow get stuck on the Astral Plane, or that there are ways for you to get lost and struggle to find your body again.
Can You Get Stuck On The Astral Plane?
First off, it’s important to tell you that this is all completely false, and there is no way for you to get stuck in the Astral Plane. So if you have any lingering fears about not being able to find your way back to your body, you can cast them aside.
Secondly, once you know what you’re doing, you can return to your body quickly and safely, every single time.
Is Astral Projection Safe?
The short answer is yes, Astral Projection is completely safe.
There is nothing in the Astral Plane that can cause long-term physical harm to your body. The worst that can happen to you is you meet an entity that causes you to have a negative experience, or feel some negative emotions.
It’s common to wake up from Astral Projection experiences feeling tired, both bodily and emotionally. But this is the extent of the negatives you’re going to experience.
And one big draw is that, when you learn the right method, you can stop your Astral Projection whenever you wish.
Plus, on top of this, a lot of time the experience of negative emotions on the Astral Plane is enough to send you back to your body, which will inevitably cause you to wake up as if from a nightmare.
How To Stop Astrall Projection
There are multiple methods to stop Astrally Projecting whenever you need to. The most common methods are detailed below.
Will Yourself Back
Everything you do when you’re Astrally Projecting is controlled by your thoughts and mind.
That means that the best way to find your way back to your body when you’ve finished your Astral Travels is to use the power of your mind to send you back there.
This means that you simply decide that you’re done Astrally Projecting, and want to stop now. It might take a little while to come back, and it might also take some practice. Not to mention if you’re in the middle of a negative experience it might be slightly more difficult.
But often, it’s as simple as letting yourself return, and surrendering yourself back into your body. So here are some methods to make this easier.
You’ve left your body, which means that it’s going to be precisely where you left it.
It’s easier to focus on a mental image when you can see it vividly in your mind. You should be aware of how you were resting before you left your body on your Astral Travel.
You may also have witnessed your body as you left it, either consciously, by turning to look at it, or simply by noticing it as you drifted away from your body.
Fix that image in your mind, and it will be much easier to go back.
Count From 1 To 10
Astral Travel can be a heady experience, considering you can experience almost anything you can imagine as you travel through the levels.
In the midst of all of those experiences, finding yourself again can be difficult without first centering your mind.
So use whichever preferred method you have. We like slowly counting from 1 to 10, or from 10 to 1, counting one number with every breath.
Then, when you are relaxed, simply allow yourself to return to your body.
Feel Your Body
You’re still connected to your body by the silver cord (more on that later) so you still have some awareness of it.
One method that people use to move out of their body is to focus on a strong physical feeling, generally using thirst, and placing a glass of water across the room to give themselves something to focus on, as a goal to step out of their body towards.
This method works using the inverse method, by focusing on the feelings in your body, you can draw yourself back to it.
So focus on a physical sensation you understand well, and can experience. For example, the feeling of your thumb and forefinger pressing together.
The more vividly you can experience this, the easier it will be to return to your body.
Follow The Silver Cord
Our Astral Bodies are all connected to our physical bodies by a silver cord.
Common in Buddhist belief, this silver cord is absolutely unbreakable, and even though many people might not see or experience it on their travels, it is always there.
If you can experience your silver cord, then you can use it both as an anchor and a thread to give you a route back.
All you have to do is follow it. Often, the longer you follow it, the quicker you return.
By following the methods detailed above, you’re almost certainly going to be able to return from the Astral Plane and stop Astral Projection whenever and however you want.
Remember, fear is the #1 enemy when it comes to Astral Projection.
