What Is Lucid Dreaming

A Lucid Dream is simply a dream where the dreamer becomes lucid, aware that he or she is dreaming.

Lucid dreaming is when you’re conscious during a dream. This typically happens during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the dream-stage of sleep.

An estimated 55 percent of people have had one or more lucid dreams in their lifetime.

During a lucid dream, you’re aware of your consciousness. It’s a form of metacognition, or awareness of your awareness. Often, lucid dreaming also lets you control what happens in your dream

What Can You Do In A Lucid Dream

A Lucid Dream is like your own personal world. You can do anything you want when you’re Lucid Dreaming.

Because a Lucid Dream is entirely in your head, there isn’t a limit on what you can do, the only limit is your imagination.

How To Lucid Dream

There are multiple methods of Lucid Dreaming such as:

  • WBTB
  • DILD
  • MILD

  • Reality Testing

The one that we will go over, is the Reality Testing method since it’s one of the most effective and easiest Lucid Dreaming techniques.

Reality Testing

Reality Checking also known as Reality Testing is a Lucid Dreaming method that works by training your mind to notice awareness.

The point of this method is to make a habit of checking if we’re in a dream. If a person does this long enough, they subconcious will take note and they will do reality checks both awake and asleep. Those reality checks will also happen when we dream thus making us Lucid.

Reality Testing steps:

  • Often ask yourself “Am I in a dream?”
  • Look around you and count your fingers to check if you’re in a dream.
  • Be concious when you’re checking if you’re in a dream.

Supplements For Lucid Dreaming

There are a lot of bogus supplements online that supposedly make us dream more or make us more Lucid.

The truth is, there aren’t many real supplements that will help us do that. An exception, however, is Alpha GPC. If we’re defficient in Choline we dream less so we have less oppurtunities to be Lucid. Alpha GPC is a good Choline supplement that can make sure that we’re not defficient Choline which a lot of people are.

Is Lucid Dreaming Dangerous

No, Lucid Dreaming is absolutely harmless. You can’t get physically hurt.

Is Lucid Dreaming Scary

A normal dream can often be scary. We call those dreams nightmares.

A Lucid Dream can also start off as a nightmare but if you learn to control your environment, you can just make the scary stuff dissapear.

So yes, a Lucid Dream can be scary but you can easily remove the scary part.
